Five Indonesian AC Technicians Set to Compete in ASEAN Tournament

However, such comfort relies heavily on the crucial role of air conditioning technicians who work with precision behind the scenes to ensure every unit is installed perfectly without compromising room aesthetics.
As a form of appreciation for such dedication and professionalism, the Midea Club Flash Installation Tournament (MCFIT) Season 2 officially concluded its national competition series with the National Final held in Jakarta on 15 September 2026. After undergoing strict selection across seven major cities, five of Indonesia’s best AC installers are prepared to represent the nation on the ASEAN Grand Final stage in China, competing against skilled technicians from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The five high-achieving technicians selected to represent Indonesia are Juni Sofyan Putera Zai from Pekanbaru, Andy Saputra from Pekanbaru, Sukheron from Tangerang, Faisal Ridwan Dwi Prasetyo from Yogyakarta, and Andre Laurent S from Pekanbaru. Their success demonstrates that the technician profession relies not merely on physical strength, but requires technical precision, aesthetic keenness, and strict adherence to high occupational safety standards.
The National Final served as the pinnacle of the long journey of MCFIT Season 2 in Indonesia, following preliminary rounds held in Bekasi, Tangerang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Denlam, and Pekanbaru. The best installers from each region were brought together in Jakarta to demonstrate installation skills through challenges testing speed, accuracy, workmanship quality, neatness, and the application of safety standards.
Riki Suwandi, Jakarta Branch Manager of PT Midea Electronics Indonesia, stated that the National Final is a significant moment as it brings together the best installers from various regions across Indonesia. According to him, the competition is not just about finding who can work the fastest, but also who can maintain precision, quality, neatness, and safety throughout every installation process.
“We congratulate the five selected installers who will carry the name of Indonesia to the ASEAN Grand Final and hope they can demonstrate their best performance at the international level,” Riki said in a written statement received by Republika on Wednesday (23/9/2026).
