REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG — More than 500 students from various faculties and study programmes at Telkom University attended the BCA Berbagi Ilmu (BBI) public lecture at the Telkom University campus in Bandung on Wednesday (6/5/2026).

The public lecture was held to equip students to be more responsive in facing the working world while also dedicating their knowledge to Indonesian society. The BBI event at Telkom University Bandung featured BCA’s Deputy President Director Armand Hartono as the speaker, carrying the theme of Survival Leadership.

This lecture also marked the first opportunity for Telkom University to participate in organising the BBI programme. Armand stated that BBI is part of BCA’s tangible contribution to shaping a competitive and character-driven younger generation. He hopes that the students attending BBI can prepare themselves to face future global challenges. This aligns with the theme concerning the ability of leaders to adapt in this highly dynamic era.

“We believe that fellow students are the nation’s successors. Therefore, they need to be prepared to become leaders who can face future challenges with strong character and adaptability towards Indonesia’s Golden 2045,” said Armand in a written statement on Thursday (7/5/2026).

Armand added that the BBI programme was introduced due to the positive responses from various universities. Since its first implementation in 2023, the BBI programme has always been in demand by many students at universities visited by BCA.

In 2025, BCA’s directors shared their knowledge and experiences at nine universities, attended by more than 6,300 students. “This public lecture activity is certainly prepared to inspire and motivate students to be more ready to face upcoming challenges. BCA is always striving to contribute to improving the quality of human resources (HR) in Indonesia,” he said.

BCA also opens opportunities for cooperation between its business units and universities. Based on experience, BCA’s cooperation with educational institutions such as universities provides positive contributions to BCA’s business units in general, as well as to society at large.

BCA’s EVP for Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn, said that BCA is always open to continuing cooperation with universities. Collaboration between banking institutions and educational institutions is expected to drive the quality of the younger generation who are ready to enter the workforce or business world. Hera believes that in the future, more Indonesian HR can grow to become good leaders for themselves and society.

BCA is committed to bringing positive impacts to all levels of society, from individuals, communities, to ecosystems. “BCA always believes that Indonesian HR can continue to grow to be useful for society. BBI is carried out continuously as evidence of Bakti BCA’s commitment in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” said Hera.
