Five Drug Dealers and Users Arrested in East Lombok, Police Seize Prescription Pills

Police have arrested five suspected drug dealers and users in Labuhan Haji district, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The arrests also led to the seizure of 34 prescription pills.

Head of Public Relations for the East Lombok Police, First Inspector Lalu Rusmaladi, revealed that the five suspects were apprehended at two locations in the early hours of Thursday (16/7/2026). He stated the operation stemmed from a public tip-off regarding suspected drug transactions.

“The first location was a house belonging to suspect RRR. There, officers detained three individuals with the initials ESN, RRR, and N,” explained First Inspector Rusmaladi on Thursday.

During a search of the premises, police seized 17 plastic clip packets containing a clear crystalline substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, a glass pipe, a lighter, Rp 267,000 in cash, and mobile phones. Officers also discovered prescription pills, specifically Trihexyphenidyl and Tramadol.

“At the first location, the team managed to secure a total of 34 prescription pills and 6.87 grammes of crystal methamphetamine,” Rusmaladi stated.

Following the initial arrests, police expanded their investigation to a second location, a rented room belonging to RM. Two further suspects, RM and GS, were detained there.

“During the search, the team found a used plastic clip, a glass pipe, a lighter, and a mobile phone believed to be linked to drug abuse,” Rusmaladi explained.

Preliminary investigations suggest that RM supplied crystal methamphetamine to ESN for distribution within the Labuhan Haji district. Meanwhile, RRR is suspected of acting as a distributor of prescription pills. GS and N are believed to be crystal methamphetamine users.

All five suspects and the evidence are currently being held at the East Lombok Police headquarters. They are charged under Article 114(1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, in conjunction with provisions of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code and Law Number 1 of 2026 on Criminal Adjustments, as well as other relevant articles pending the outcome of the investigation.
