Five Days to Eid: Homebound Travellers Flood Kampung Rambutan Terminal

Numerous homebound travellers are placing luggage in bus compartments at Kampung Rambutan Terminal in Jakarta on Monday, 16 March 2026. The situation at Kampung Rambutan Terminal has begun to see a surge in passengers, particularly those heading to Sumatra such as Padang, Palembang, and other cities. The trend of increasing passenger numbers actually began to emerge from 14 March 2026 onwards, particularly for routes heading to the island of Sumatra. The 2026 Eid exodus at Kampung Rambutan Terminal is estimated to reach its peak on 17–18 March 2026. Passengers travelling to Central Java, East Java, and Sumatra are predicted to dominate departures during this period.
