Five Chinese Nationals Deported and Blacklisted After Causing Disturbance in NTT
The Class II TPI Immigration Office in Atambua, Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has deported five foreign nationals from China. The five were subjected to immigration measures after being deemed to have carried out activities that could potentially disrupt public security and order.
Head of the NTT Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, Saroha Manullang, explained that the five foreign nationals have the initials LH (49), LJ (54), WY (59), XC (41), and ZJ (50). They had undergone examination by Atambua Immigration officers.
According to Saroha, based on the examination results and the official examination report, the five were proven to have carried out dangerous activities that could reasonably be suspected of disrupting public security and order, as well as failing to comply with Indonesian laws and regulations.
“They caused a disturbance. For this violation, the Atambua Immigration Office imposed Administrative Immigration Actions in the form of deportation and entry bans,” he said in a press release on Saturday (29/8/2026).
He stated that the action was taken based on Article 75 paragraphs (1) and (2) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. The five foreign nationals were processed for deportation.
“Escort and deportation were carried out in stages. The Atambua Immigration team escorted the five foreign nationals from Atambua to Kupang on Monday before continuing the journey to Jakarta,” he added.
Saroha explained that the deportation process was carried out through the Immigration Checkpoint at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 3, Tangerang, before they were returned to their country of origin.
“The entire deportation process took place safely, in an orderly manner, and under control. Officers also coordinated with the airline and immigration officials at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to ensure the departure complied with regulations,” he explained.
Saroha Manullang stressed that immigration law enforcement is important for maintaining security and order in NTT.
“We will continue to strengthen supervision of the presence and activities of foreign nationals in the East Nusa Tenggara region. Every foreign national must comply with applicable legal provisions. If violations are found that could potentially disrupt public security and order, Immigration will take firm action in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations,” said Saroha.
According to him, this deportation is a concrete manifestation of the commitment of NTT Immigration officials in carrying out their supervisory and law enforcement functions, as well as a preventive effort to ensure that the presence of foreign nationals does not disrupt security stability.
He affirmed that the NTT Regional Office of the Directorate General of Immigration, together with all Immigration Technical Implementation Units in NTT, will continue to increase supervision of foreign nationals and strengthen coordination with relevant agencies.
“These efforts are carried out to ensure that every activity of foreign nationals takes place in accordance with the legal provisions and norms applicable in Indonesia,” he concluded.
