Five Chinese doctors held

JAKARTA(JP): Immigration authorities have arrested five
Chinese doctors for illegally practicing medicine in violation of
their work permits.

The five doctors had permits to work as consultants at Pusat
Pelayanan Kesehatan Tradisional Timur (a center for traditional
Eastern medicine) in Central Jakarta.

On July 18, staff of the Directorate General of Immigration,
visited the facility, posing as patients.

They caught the five Chinese doctors helping patients, the
directorate's chief spokesman, Mursanudin A. Ghani, said
yesterday. They were arrested last Tuesday.

The five were identified as Jia Qi Guang, Liu Shu Bao, Zhou
Rui Hua, He Ming Yi and Guo Yan Hui.

Under the terms of their work permit, they can only work as
health consultants and have to be accompanied by local experts.
