The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a sting operation (OTT) against five civil servants (ASN) at the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on Wednesday (10/6/2026). “Currently, the individuals detained are still undergoing intensive examination,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo. Budi stated that the case review had elevated the matter to the investigation stage. The KPK will soon determine which parties will be named as suspects. “Earlier this afternoon, an exposé was held and it was decided that this closed inquiry be elevated to the investigation stage, based on sufficient and valid preliminary evidence,” Budi said. “Subsequently, investigators will designate the parties who will then be named as suspects in the alleged bribery case within the Muara Enim Regency Government, South Sumatra, involving officials at the Supreme Audit Agency,” he continued. These BPK civil servants were caught in the sting operation related to a bribery case implicating the Regent of Muara Enim, Edison. The KPK stated that the operation against the BPK civil servants is connected to alleged bribery concerning the audit of smart board procurement.
