Five AKAP Buses in West Jakarta Fined for Operating at Shadow Terminals

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department (Sudinhub) fined five AKAP buses during an operation to clear shadow terminals at several points in the local area, on Thursday. West Jakarta Sudinhub Operations Chief Agus Prasetiyo said the enforcement operation was conducted together with the Metro Jakbar Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas Polres Metro Jakbar). ‘There were five bus fleets we acted against at three points. The five buses were issued with traffic-violation reports by Tim Lintas Jaya Sudinhub Jakarta Barat,’ Agus said when contacted in Jakarta on Thursday. The five buses were apprehended at three shadow-terminal points, namely the Cengkareng Toll Exit, Kapuk, Cengkareng Hanging Bridge, and the Outer Ring Road in Kalideres District. Agus emphasised that enforcement against shadow terminals in West Jakarta would be stepped up. ‘We will continue to carry out enforcement on shadow terminals in West Jakarta. Buses that violate the rules will be acted against and sanctioned,’ he concluded.
