Fitness and Propriety Test Tomorrow: Misbakhun Reveals Selection Criteria for OJK Board Candidates
Jakarta — The Chair of Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, has disclosed the criteria for candidates to the Board of Commissioners (DK) of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) who will be selected by Commission XI through a fitness and propriety test on Wednesday, 11 March.
Misbakhun stated that there are limits to how pro-market a leader should be, given that their role as a capital market regulator must still consider market risk factors.
“Because what we are selecting is a regulator. Naturally, there are limits to how much market risk we can absorb. Because if we are too pro-market, who will absorb the risk? Because regulators must also consider market risk factors,” Misbakhun said at the Road to Investor Relations Forum 2026 in the Indonesian Stock Exchange building, Jakarta, on Tuesday.
Misbakhun assessed that the ideal candidate for the OJK Board Chair position would be someone who can balance pro-market policies with prudent market risk mitigation measures.
A total of ten candidates for the OJK Board of Commissioners positions will participate in the fitness and propriety test to be conducted by Commission XI on Wednesday, 11 March.
The ten candidates are Friderica Widyasari Dewi, Agus Sugiarto, Hernawan Bekti Sasongko, Ary Zulfikar, Hasan Fawzi, Darmansyah, Dicky Kartikoyono, Danu Febrianto, Adi Budiarso, and Anton Daryono.
These ten candidates will compete for five positions, which include the Chair of the Board of Commissioners, Vice Chair of the Board of Commissioners, Head of Capital Market Supervision, Head of Digital Asset Supervision, and Head of Business Conduct Supervision, Financial Education and Consumer Protection.
