Fish Processing Plant in Pati Destroyed by Fire, 70% of Facility Lost

A massive fire has gutted 70 per cent of a fish processing plant located on the Pati-Juwana road in Pati Regency. The fire is suspected to have originated from an electrical short circuit in one of the factory buildings, which subsequently spread to adjacent structures.

On Saturday morning, hundreds of joint personnel from the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Fire Department, Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Police, and the TNI, supported by volunteers, worked to extinguish the flames at the PT Dua Putra Utama Makbar facility located on the North Coast (Pantura) route. While some fire points have been contained, firefighters continue to spray water to localise the blaze and prevent further spread.
