FIS oCFO and Antara Convene Finance Leaders to Discuss Future-Ready Finance
The closed-door forum featured speakers from Deloitte, MIND ID, Pegadaian, and Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), representing a cross-section of state-owned enterprises and financial institutions. Discussions focused on how CFO organizations can modernize treasury management, improve cash and risk visibility, and prepare for a more data-driven and AI-enabled financial landscape.
President Director of Antara, Benny Siga Butarbutar, highlighted the importance of collaboration between trusted institutions and technology providers amid rapid changes in the financial sector.
“As Indonesia’s financial ecosystem continues to evolve, collaboration is key to driving meaningful dialogue and progress,” he said.
A key topic of the forum was the increasingly strategic role of treasury within finance organizations. Participants emphasized the need for real-time cash visibility, integrated risk management, and scalable treasury platforms to support complex and decentralized business structures.
A representative from MIND ID noted that treasury functions are becoming central to maintaining corporate resilience and creating value, shifting from a primarily operational role to a more strategic one that supports funding optimization, risk mitigation, and working capital management.
The forum also explored how AI and advanced analytics are reshaping finance and treasury operations, including improving forecasting accuracy, automating manual processes, detecting anomalies, and enabling finance teams to focus on strategic decision-making.
Ian Chan, Vice President of Office of the CFO (oCFO) Solutions at FIS, underscored the importance of strong treasury foundations supported by reliable technology.
“Future-ready finance starts with robust treasury capabilities. With AI and automation, CFOs can gain faster insights and make more informed strategic decisions,” he said.
Deloitte also shared global and regional perspectives on finance modernization, while Pegadaian and BNI presented practical insights from their digital transformation and treasury initiatives.
The forum is part of a broader partnership between FIS oCFO and Antara aimed at fostering thought leadership and facilitating dialogue among finance leaders in Indonesia as they navigate financial modernization, treasury transformation, and the adoption of intelligent technologies.
