First Time, Lo Kheng Hong Sells 8.18 Million SIMP Shares, CPO Issuer from Salim Group

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Veteran investor Lo Kheng Hong was observed selling 8.18 million shares of PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk. (SIMP), the palm oil plantation and CPO issuer owned by Anthoni Salim.

Lo Kheng Hong’s inaugural move to sell SIMP shares, reversing his initial buying spree in June 2025, was recorded in the disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI).

Lo Kheng Hong is recorded as offloading 8.18 million (8,189,500) SIMP shares in two transactions on 14 April 2026, namely 1,377,000 SIMP shares at Rp925 per share and 6,812,500 shares at Rp920 per share.

Consequently, from these two major share sales of SIMP, the man dubbed Indonesia’s Warren Buffett is estimated to have pocketed fresh funds of around Rp7.54 billion.

In his statement to the BEI, Lo Kheng Hong revealed that the major sale of SIMP shares was carried out to realise investment profits. “The type of transaction is a sale [and] the purpose of the transaction [is] to realise profits,” said Lo Kheng Hong, quoted Saturday (25/4/2026).

Following the transaction, the number of SIMP shares held by Lo Kheng Hong decreased from 779.20 million (779,207,000) shares or equivalent to 5.03% to 771.01 million (771,017,500) shares or equivalent to 4.97%.

Meanwhile, on Friday’s trading (24/4/2026), SIMP shares closed at Rp815 per share after opening at Rp860 per share. Throughout yesterday’s trading, SIMP shares moved in the range of Rp810—Rp865 per share.

Since the beginning of the year (year-to-date/YtD) 2026, SIMP shares have surged 245 points or 42.98%, and in the last six months have strengthened 200 points or 32.52%, with a market capitalisation of Rp12.63 trillion.
