First Quarter 2025 Investment Realisation Reaches Rp465.2 Trillion
Jakarta: Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Roeslani announced that investment realisation in the first quarter of 2025 exceeded Rp400 trillion.
"The investment in this first quarter is in line with the target set by Bappenas. From the total investment target for 2025 of Rp1,905.6 trillion, the investment that has been realised in the first quarter amounts to Rp465.2 trillion," said Rosan at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Wednesday, 23 April 2025.
The investment realisation achieved in the first quarter of 2025 represents 24.4 per cent of the planned target, an improvement compared to the previous period.
"Compared to the previous year on a year-on-year basis, this represents an increase of 15.9 per cent, up from Rp401.5 trillion," said Rosan.
Rosan described the investment realisation as a very encouraging figure, noting that it also demonstrates confidence from both the international community and domestic investors in Indonesia.
"This shows that confidence from both international and domestic parties in investing in Indonesia remains strong, because as we know, investment is a long-term commitment," said Rosan.
Additionally, Rosan reported that employment absorption in the first quarter of 2025 exceeded 594,000 workers.
"From this first quarter, the employment generated from the Rp465.2 trillion investment totalled 594,104 workers, representing an increase of 8.5 per cent from the previous year," said Rosan.
