The first hearing for three TNI soldiers involved in the kidnapping and murder of Jakarta bank branch manager Muhammad Ilham Pradipta (37) was held today. The hearing took place at the Military Court II-08 in Jakarta.

“Today, the first hearing will be conducted with the agenda of reading the indictment (by the military prosecutor),” said the Spokesperson for the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, Lieutenant Commander (Law) Arin Fauzam, when contacted as reported by the Antara news agency on Monday (6/4/2026).

Based on the Case Tracking Information System (SIPP) page of the Military Court II-08 Jakarta, the hearing is registered under case number 52-K/PM.II-08/AD/III/2026. The hearing is scheduled for 09:00 WIB in the Garuda Courtroom or the main courtroom.

In the hearing, the Military Prosecutor, acting as the public prosecutor in the military court, will present the three defendants directly at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta. Arin also assured that the trial process will be conducted professionally, independently, impartially, transparently, and accountably.

“The plan is for 09:00 WIB in the morning, please inform other journalist colleagues, thank you,” said Arin.

The three suspects in the case are from the Kopassus Headquarters Detachment (Denma) unit, namely Sergeant Major MN, Corporal FH, and Sergeant Major FY. Subsequently, the military prosecutor will examine the completeness of the case files for the three suspects.

Three TNI Soldiers Named as Suspects

Previously, the Head of the Army Information Service, Colonel (Inf) Donny Pramono, stated that his side had named three TNI personnel as suspects in the Jakarta bank branch manager kidnapping and murder case.

“I can state that in the development of the investigation conducted by the Military Police, three TNI personnel have now been designated as suspects related to the case,” he said on Tuesday (18/11/2025).

Ilham Pradipta was kidnapped after a meeting at a shopping centre in Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta, on 20 August 2025. Ilham was then found dead in bushes in Serang Baru, Bekasi Regency, on Thursday (21/8) with his face, legs, and hands bound with black duct tape.

The kidnapping of Ilham was initiated by the malicious intent of suspect Ken alias C, who intended to steal funds from a dormant account or inactive account. However, Ken needed approval or authorisation from the bank branch manager to carry out the theft of funds from the dormant account to a collection account that he had prepared.
