First Half 2026 Performance Grows Double Digits, Medela (MDLA) Adds Five New Principals
PT Medela Potentability Tbk (MDLA) recorded a positive performance in the first half of 2026, marked by solid growth in sales and profitability. Throughout the first semester of this year, MDLA recorded sales of Rp 8.2 trillion, a 10.1% increase compared to Rp 7.42 trillion during the same period last year.
This growth was accompanied by a 12.6% increase in net profit to Rp 226 billion. Meanwhile, gross profit reached Rp 762 billion, an increase of 6.8%, while EBITDA grew by 11.2% to Rp 325 billion.
Strategies implemented include expanding distribution volume, adding new principals, strengthening proprietary products, and optimising digital channels. “From an operational perspective, we also continue to increase productivity and work process efficiency. With this foundation, we see there is still room to increase capacity, productivity, and efficiency alongside business growth,” stated Harris during the Public Expose Live 2026 event on Tuesday (8/9/2026).
To achieve future business growth, MDLA continues to strengthen its performance in the distribution business line through its subsidiary, PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM). This includes the addition of five new principals. As of the first semester, AAM successfully secured five principals, consisting of one ethical principal, three consumer health principals, and one medical device principal.
Development is also being undertaken for its own medical device business under the Stardec brand, marketed by its subsidiary PT Djembatan Dua. As of the first half of the year, sales were recorded to have grown by 34% year-on-year (yoy). The development of new products is seen as providing space for the company to expand the use of Stardec products while increasing the business contribution of its own brands.
Stardec products were also exported to Cambodia and Timor-Leste in 2025, with plans for further exports in 2026.
The President Director of Medela Potentia, Juliwaty, added that MDLA’s growth in the first half of 2026 reflects the strengthening position of Medela Potentia within the Indonesian healthcare ecosystem. “The growth of the healthcare business in Indonesia provides significant opportunities for the Company to continue to develop. With an ecosystem encompassing distribution, medical devices, manufacturing, and digital, we have the foundation to reach more customers while providing holistic healthcare solutions,” explained Juliwaty.
On the other hand, MDLA continues to strengthen its infrastructure capacity to capture growth opportunities in the demand for healthcare product distribution. One such project is the construction of the AAM Medan warehouse, which has reached 95% completion and is targeted to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2026. This warehouse will enhance the capability to serve distribution in the Sumatra region.
For future expansion plans, MDLA intends to build a second National Distribution Centre (NDC 2) in 2027, which will focus on cold storage requirements. NDC 2 is planned to be built on a 2.7-hectare site within the Jababeka 2 Industrial Estate.
