First Evidence-Based Sports Medicine Platform Launched in Indonesia
A major breakthrough in digital health has officially arrived in Indonesia. ResepGerak.ID was launched today, Monday, 25 May 2026, as the nation’s first evidence-based movement prescription platform. The initiative was spearheaded by renowned sports medicine expert Dr Antonius Andi Kurniawan, Sp.KO., Subsp. ALK (K), with full support from Eminence Sports Medicine Centre.
The platform aims to democratise sports medicine knowledge, which has traditionally been limited to specialist consultations or foreign-language scientific journals. The public can now access practical, measurable medical guidance to improve their quality of life through correct movement.
Founder Dr Andi, also known as DokAndi, brings over 20 years of experience in sports medicine, including serving as the team doctor for Indonesia’s Olympic contingents in London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020. He identified a gap in information access between professional athletes and the general public.
“For years, I’ve seen Indonesia’s top athletes receive science-based training and recovery protocols. However, millions of Indonesians, from homemakers to the elderly, have never been taught how to exercise or manage injuries correctly. ResepGerak.ID aims to bridge this gap,” DokAndi said.
Dr Muh Ikhwan Zein, Sp.K.O., Subsp. A.L.K.(K)., Ph.D., Chairman of the Indonesian Sports Medicine Specialist Association (PDSKO), praised the launch. He stated that the platform addresses the shortage of sports medicine specialists in Indonesia.
“The launch of ResepGerak.ID is a concrete step to expand healthcare reach, aligning with PDSKO’s mission to improve health quality through evidence-based movement knowledge,” Dr Ikhwan said.
Yaya Suharya, from the Alzheimer’s Indonesia Foundation (ALZI), also benefits. At 97 years old, she remains active thanks to proper medical guidance.
“This activity keeps me healthy, fit, and independent. The platform is crucial for elderly people to understand that age isn’t a barrier to staying active,” she said.
Dr Andi emphasised that access to safe movement knowledge is a fundamental human right. With this platform, Indonesians can move based on correct medical understanding, not fear or imitation. The service is now accessible via www.resepgerak.id.
