First Day Back at Work: Tegal Mayor Urges Civil Servants to Work with Full Enthusiasm

The first day back at work after the joint Eid holiday in 2026 saw Tegal Mayor, Central Java, Dedy Yon Supriyono, urging all Civil Servants (ASN) of the Tegal City Government (Pemkot) to quickly readjust, refocus, and work with full enthusiasm. This was conveyed by Dedy Yon during the Joint Roll Call and Halalbihalal on the first working day after the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah holiday at the courtyard of Pendopo Ki Gede Sebayu, Tegal City Hall Complex, on Wednesday morning (25/3). “Let us make this moment the starting point to improve performance, discipline, and integrity in providing the best service to the community,” said Dedy Yon. The joint roll call was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of Tegal, Tazkiyyatul Muthmainnah, the Secretary of Tegal City, Agus Dwi Sulityantono, and the Chair of the Tegal City PKK Movement Team, Gadis Sephi Febriana, along with staff advisors, assistant secretaries, heads of regional agencies, and ASN in the Tegal City Hall environment. Dedy Yon extended Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah greetings. He hoped that the Idul Fitri momentum could serve as a means to strengthen relationships, togetherness, and foster new enthusiasm in carrying out duties of service to the community. In addition, the Mayor reminded that ASN have a great responsibility to ensure that every policy and service provided is truly felt to be beneficial by the community. Therefore, he invited all ASN to work maximally, professionally, and with full dedication. “Remember that the success of Tegal City’s development greatly depends on our collective commitment and hard work,” stressed Dedy Yon. Ahead of the 446th Tegal City Anniversary (HUT) commemoration, Dedy Yon also invited all ASN in the Pemkot Tegal environment to ngayuhbagyo, enliven, and actively participate in welcoming the 446th HUT of Tegal City, which falls on 12 April 2026. “With the theme ‘Tegal Tangguh Pantang Ngangluh’, let us realise the spirit of togetherness, hard work, and optimism in every step of our service,” he asserted. The Secretary of Tegal City (Sekda), Agus Dwi Sulityantono, added that on this first day back to work, there were no ASN absent or not present without explanation. “Alhamdulillah, today there are none without explanation. Earlier it was reported that out of 5,398 ASN, some did not enter today but had their own reasons due to out-of-town duties, annual leave, and major leave,” he added. After the Joint Roll Call, the activities continued with mutual forgiveness among all Pemkot Tegal ASN, held at the Pringgitan of the Mayor’s Official Residence in Tegal.
