Holiday returnees are urged to take advantage of the work-from-home policy. Cirebon Mayor Effendi Edo stated that 99% of civil servants (ASN) in his jurisdiction attended on the first working day after the 2026 Eid holiday. According to him, ASN directly interacting with the public have already provided services on the first day. “This shows that the discipline of ASN in the Cirebon City Government is quite good,” Edo said on Wednesday (25/3). Edo conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) from the morning, targeting district offices, sub-districts, and community health centres. The inspection results showed no employees absent without notice. Meanwhile, in Majalengka Regency, Regent Eman Suherman carried out a sidak to several public service offices on the first day back at work. Eman visited the Public Service Mall (MPP), the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil), the Majalengka Regional Secretariat, and the Majalengka General Hospital. At every institution visited, Eman found all ASN present and immediately providing services to the public. At the Disdukcapil office, ASN handled ID card production, family card services, and other civil registration needs. “Public service is very important. Do not let services slacken after the holiday. We want to ensure that the public continues to receive fast, accurate, and professional services,” Eman stated. He emphasised that the quality of public service must be the top priority, especially after a long holiday. Eman also reminded all ASN to maintain work discipline, enhance service ethos, and provide comfort to the public visiting service offices. The Head of the Majalengka Human Resources and Civil Service Agency (BKPSDM), Ikin Asikin, added that the sidak activity aims to monitor attendance levels and employee discipline on the first working day. “We want to ensure that all ASN return to work optimally, both in terms of attendance and performance in providing public services,” he explained. Ikin affirmed that his side will continue to conduct evaluations and guidance for ASN to improve service quality in the Majalengka Regency Government environment.
