First Batch of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims Repatriated to Indonesia

The first batch of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims has been repatriated from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah on Sunday (31 May 2026) local time. Initial flight groups included Kloter 1 from Batam (BTH 1) and Kloter 1 from Surabaya (SUB 1), alongside Kloter 1 from Makassar (UPG 1) and Kloter 3 from Surabaya (SUB 3).

Surabaya pilgrims (SUB 1 and SUB 3) flew with Saudia Airlines on Monday (1 June 2026) at 03:21 and 05:55 Saudi Arabia Time (WAS), respectively. UPG 1 pilgrims departed on Garuda Indonesia at 04:53 WAS, while BTH 1 pilgrims flew with Saudia Airlines at 01:06 WAS.

According to Republika, SUB 1 pilgrims were transported from their hotel on Sunday evening at 8 PM by bus. Slamet Aryanto, 59, from Probolinggo Regency, East Java, expressed satisfaction with this year’s Hajj services. “The most memorable experience was during the Hajj rites in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina. Food and official services were highly satisfactory,” he said.

Another pilgrim, 64-year-old Siti Rukhoyah from Probolinggo, added: “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy; the services were excellent.”
