First Batch of Hajj Pilgrims for 2026 Depart Today: Here is the Complete Schedule
The first batch of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims is being sent off to the Holy Land on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, in the early hours. Various preparations have been undertaken to welcome and serve the Hajj pilgrims during their journey to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land until their return to the homeland.
The government has prepared 16 embarkation points across Indonesia, including new additional embarkation sites in Cipondoh and Yogyakarta, for the departure locations of Hajj pilgrims.
In addition, fast-track services are available at four airports, namely Soekarno-Hatta, Solo, Juanda, and Makassar, to expedite the immigration process for pilgrims.
The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Moch. Irfan Yusuf, during a progress socialisation for Hajj organisation with the media at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office on Thursday, 16 April 2026, ensured that the departure process for Hajj pilgrims in 1447 H/2026 AD will proceed according to the established schedule.
“All stages of Hajj operations are running according to plan. InsyaAllah, the departure of pilgrims will start on time, and all services have been prepared optimally,” said the Minister.
Based on the operational schedule, pilgrims begin entering Hajj hostels on 21 April 2026, followed by departures in stages from 22 April to 21 May 2026. The peak of the Hajj pilgrimage is estimated to take place on 25-26 May 2026 (Arafah), while the repatriation phase for pilgrims is scheduled from 1 June to 1 July 2026.

21 April 2026 (4 Dzulqaidah 1447 H) – Pilgrims begin entering Hajj hostels.
22 April – 6 May 2026 (5 – 19 Dzulqaidah 1447 H) – Departure of Hajj pilgrims wave 1 from the homeland to Madinah.
1 – 15 May 2026 (14 – 28 Dzulqaidah 1447 H) – Departure of Hajj pilgrims wave 1 from Madinah to Makkah.
7 – 21 May 2026 (21 Dzulqaidah – 4 Dzulhijjah 1447 H) – Departure of Hajj pilgrims wave 2 from the homeland to Jeddah.
25 May 2026 (8 Dzulhijjah 1447 H) – Departure of Hajj pilgrims from Makkah to Arafah.
26 May 2026 (9 Dzulhijjah 1447 H) – Wuquf at Arafah.
27 May 2026 (10 Dzulhijjah 1447 H) – Eid al-Adha 1447 H.
28 – 30 May 2026 (11–13 Dzulhijjah 1447 H) – Days of Tashriq I, Tashriq II (Nafar Awal), Tashriq III (Nafar Tsani).
