The Head of the Central Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Fitriyanto, has stated that the departure of Hajj pilgrims is still proceeding according to schedule and is unaffected by the conflict in the Middle East. He mentioned that the first batch of Hajj pilgrims from Central Java is scheduled to depart on 22 April 2026.

“Up to now, the departure scheme is still in line with what has been planned, and of course, the government will always update on the latest conditions in the Middle East,” Fitriyanto explained when asked about preparations for the departure of Hajj pilgrims from Central Java on Friday (10/4/2026).

He added that regarding mitigation of unexpected situations related to conditions in the Middle East, his office will follow directives from the central government.

“But up to today, the Hajj organisation is still in accordance with the planned departure. The first batch will enter the dormitory on 21 April 2026 at 06:00 WIB and we will fly them to Saudi Arabia on 22 April 2026 at 01:00 WIB,” he said.

Meanwhile, the last batch of Hajj pilgrims from Central Java will depart in late May 2026. Fitriyanto revealed that this year, the number of Hajj pilgrims from Central Java totals 34,122 people.
