First Appearance of Four TNI Defendants in Andrie Yunus Trial
Four TNI members who are defendants in the acid attack case against KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus were presented for the first time in the trial session with the agenda of reading the indictment at the Military Court II-08 Jakarta on Wednesday (29/4). The four defendants, consisting of three officers and one non-commissioned officer, are Captain Nandala Dwi Prasetia, Sergeant Edi Sudarko, Lieutenant Budhi Hariyanto, and Lieutenant Sami Lakka. This is the first time the four defendants have been shown to the public since the case was uncovered. The panel of judges hearing this case consists of Colonel Chk Fredy Ferdian Isnartanto, Lieutenant Colonel Kum Irwan Tasri, and Major (Navy) (H) M. Zainal Abidin. At the time this news was written, the trial had just begun. Previously, the Head of the Military Audit II-07 Jakarta, Colonel Chk Andri Wijaya, stated that the four defendants in the acid attack case against KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus would be charged with multiple layered articles. He explained the articles to be applied: Article 469 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code Jo Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code. Article 468 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code Jo Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code. Then Article 467 paragraph (1) jo paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code Jo Article 20 letter c of the Criminal Code. Article 469 paragraph (1) states that any person who commits aggravated assault with prior planning shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 12 years. Article 468 paragraph (1) states that any person who seriously injures another person shall be punished for aggravated assault with imprisonment for a maximum of 8 years. Then Article 467 paragraph (1) states that any person who commits assault with prior planning shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 4 years.
