Firnando Ganinduto: Darul Amanah Kendal Students Can Certainly Become National Leaders
Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Firnando Hadityo Ganinduto has expressed confidence that students from Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah in Sukorejo, Kendal, are capable of becoming future national leaders. He made the statement during a visit by the school’s student organisation (OSDA) to the Nusantara Building at the DPR/MPR complex in Jakarta. The visit marked a historic achievement, as Darul Amanah became the first Islamic boarding school to receive a special opportunity to directly observe the country’s legislative centre. Firnando, who represents Electoral District 1 in Central Java, praised the pesantren’s stature and expressed his hope that one day a student from Darul Amanah would serve as a legislator and continue the nation’s leadership succession. The head of Pondok Pesantren Darul Amanah, K.H Muhammad Fatwa, emphasised that the educational excursion was crucial for shaping the students’ character and national insight. He noted that direct interaction with state institutions would broaden the horizons of the young pesantren generation. Through this visit, students can learn firsthand how people’s representatives work to champion public aspirations. The school remains committed to consistently educating and producing future national leaders with high moral integrity, strong nationalism, and readiness to contribute to society and national development.
