Firnando Appreciates Himbara's Readiness to Handle Transaction Surge Ahead of Eid
A member of the Indonesian Parliament’s Commission VI, Firnando Hadityo Ganinduto, has commended the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) for its preparedness in managing the surge in public transactions ahead of Eid al-Fitr. According to him, Himbara has implemented various measures to ensure that banking services continue to operate optimally during the Lebaran period.
“Himbara has prepared substantial liquidity to meet public needs during Lebaran,” said Firnando during a working visit of Commission VI of the Indonesian Parliament in Semarang, Central Java, on Friday, 6 March 2026.
The politician from the Golkar Party faction explained that the increase in economic activity during Lebaran is typically accompanied by a rise in public financial transaction needs, including cash withdrawals. Consequently, banks have been asked to ensure the availability of cash and that transaction services run smoothly.
He also welcomed plans for several bank branch offices to remain operational in serving the public during the Lebaran period. “Some bank branches will also remain open to ensure the public continues to receive banking services,” he said.
Firnando considers such preparedness important given that Lebaran is an exceptionally crucial period for the public, both in terms of meeting daily needs and economic activity. “We hope that all these preparations are truly realised in the field so that the public can experience their benefits,” he said.
