Fires raze three houses

JAKARTA (JP): Fires have gutted three houses at two different
locations in Central Jakarta.

The first fire razed a house in Kemayoran, while the other
destroyed two houses in a military housing complex in Gambir on
Tuesday.

No fatalities were reported.

Jahri, a resident of Utan Panjang, Kemayoran, said fire gutted
his house after his TV set blew.

The fire in the military housing complex destroyed houses of a
lieutenant-colonel and a major, who were on duty at the time of
the fire.

Police said a short circuit caused the fire. (05)
