Firefighting efforts underway on Mount Ijen hiking trails

Joint personnel are working to extinguish a fire that has burnt the hiking trail area at Pos Bunder, Mount Ijen, Banyuwangi, East Java, on Friday (4/9/2026). The fire occurred due to the spread of flames from the Mount Merapi Ungup-ungup area, leading joint officers to continue firefighting efforts to prevent the fire from spreading to the forest area and hiking trails.
