Firefighters Help Evacuate Worker’s Body from Second Floor of Bogor House

Firefighters evacuated the body of a man who had been working on the second floor of a house in Bojonggede district, Bogor, West Java. The body was difficult to bring downstairs, prompting the evacuation request.

Bogor Regency Fire and Rescue Agency chief Yudi Santosa said the incident occurred on Wednesday, 28 October 2026. The worker suffered breathing difficulties while at work.

“His colleagues provided initial assistance, but he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene,” Yudi said in a written statement on Thursday, 29 October.

The man’s colleagues then tried to bring the body downstairs, but found it difficult.

“The homeowner and his colleagues contacted the Fire and Rescue Service for help with the evacuation,” he said.

Firefighters went to the scene and evacuated the body using several pieces of equipment. The operation took around half an hour.

“The body was then taken to the family’s home in an ambulance,” he said.
