Firefighter Responds Calmly to Threats After Posting Content About Helmets
A firefighter named Khairul Umam, who created content about the function of helmets, suddenly received threats. In a post on his Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon, 25th February, he received threatening messages from an unknown number.
Initially, the sender revealed details about his home address. Afterwards, the sender mentioned the names of the firefighter’s parents.
“So, after my content about ‘day 1 introducing the function of PPE,’ I received a lot of threats, even via WhatsApp. I still don’t know who this person is, but they sent me two addresses of my house and mentioned the names of my mother and father. Amazing,” said Khairul Umam in his Instagram post, as quoted on Thursday, 26th February 2026.
In another message sent by the same number, the sender also sent a threatening message, asking Khairul Umam to be careful and protect himself.
“I hope you are well and take care of yourself, and I hope you are always given safety,” said the sender.
Upon receiving the threatening messages, Khairul Umam chose to respond calmly. He thanked the sender and wished them well.
“Thank you for your prayers, I hope your family is also healthy,” replied Khairul Umam.
The sender, who seemed to be provoked, then threatened that Khairul Umam would not make it to the next Eid.
“Amen, if not, you won’t make it to Eid,” replied the sender.
The sender also sent a message to the firefighter as if to warn him about his safety, asking Khairul Umam to continue wearing his helmet.
“Oh yes, don’t forget to keep wearing your helmet to protect your head,” said the sender.
Upon receiving the message, Khairul Umam responded calmly again. He even posted a video of himself showering while still wearing his red firefighter helmet.
In the video posted by Khairul Umam this morning, he is seen pouring water over his head while wearing his helmet.
