Fire Still Burning as 33 Fire Engines Deployed to Kemayoran House Fire

A fire has engulfed a residential property on Jalan Kemayoran Gempol in Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Firefighters are containing the blaze to prevent it spreading to neighbouring buildings. Head of DKI Jakarta’s Gulkarmat Office, Bayu Meghantara, stated that 33 fire engines and 100 personnel have been deployed to the scene. ‘Fire reports were received by officers at 8:55 PM WIB,’ Bayu said, according to Antara, Monday, 1 June 2026. Following the report, initial deployment was carried out from Kemayoran Sector III Office using medium-pressure fire engines. Firefighters arrived at the location near Masjid Jami’ Al Ikhlas at 9:05 PM WIB and immediately began firefighting operations. ‘The situation remains under active firefighting (red status), with officers working to contain the blaze as the spread to surrounding structures is highly possible,’ Bayu said. The cause of the fire and total material damage remain unknown for the low-rise building involved. Authorities are still focused on extinguishing the fire at the residential site to prevent it spreading to surrounding buildings.
