Fire Still Being Extinguished at Instant Noodle Factory in Bekasi After 6.5 Hours

A fire occurred at the PT Prakarsa Alam Segar (PT PAS) factory, the manufacturer of Mie Sedaap, in the Medan Satria district of Bekasi. After nearly seven hours, the firefighting process is still ongoing.

“The firefighting is not yet complete. (Officers) are still in the field,” said Rahma, a spokesperson for the Bekasi City Fire Department call centre, when contacted on Monday (31/08/2026) at 02:09 WIB.

The fire report was received by the Bekasi City Fire Department on Sunday (30/08) at 19:30 WIB. As of 02:00 WIB, officers remained at the location for the cooling process.

“The flames are no longer active, but the cooling process is still underway,” Rahma explained.

According to Rahma, the fire is suspected to have originated in the factory warehouse. However, the department is still awaiting official data from the team on-site.

“Initial reports indicate that the fire behind the PT Mie Sedaap factory appears to be in the warehouse,” she said.

A total of seven fire engines and 42 personnel were deployed to the location. Additionally, two rescue units were involved in the firefighting efforts at the factory.
