Fire Service Officials Receive Free Salon Treatments After Helping Unlock Locked Salon

A viral video on social media captured firefighters receiving complimentary treatments at a salon in Serang City, Banten. The personnel had assisted in opening the locked salon doors.

The incident occurred on Thursday, 5 March at Flow Salon in Kebon Jahet, Serang City. In the video, salon staff can be seen banging on the shop doors which remained unopened. They panicked and repeatedly called out for Ilham, the salon caretaker.

The salon was supposed to open at 7:00 AM. However, by 11:00 AM, the doors remained sealed shut. Concerned about what might have happened, they contacted the fire service.

“Because knocking didn’t wake him, they were worried something had happened to Ilham. Since he was locked inside, they eventually called the fire department,” said Ferdiansah Ramadhana, a firefighter from Serang City Fire Service, when reached on Thursday, 12 March.

Upon receiving the report, personnel arrived at the location and prepared to force the doors open. However, just as the process was about to begin, the caretaker woke up and opened the door himself.

“It turned out he had fallen asleep, having just finished sleeping after dawn prayers,” he explained.

With the salon doors now open and the fire service having already responded, the salon management offered complimentary services to the firefighters. The gesture was especially appreciated as the personnel had arrived during heavy rainfall.

“So the firefighters ended up getting free salon treatments, just like in the video,” he said.

Firefighters in their uniforms sat smiling whilst receiving treatments from the salon staff. They enjoyed massage services, hair washing, and healthcare treatments for nails as well as hand and foot care services (manicure and pedicure).
