Fire in North Jakarta
JAKARTA (JP): An electrical short circuit started a fire which
devoured piles of wood, food stalls, a cooperative shop and a
rice storehouse on Jl. Gaya Motor Raya in North Jakarta yesterday
afternoon.
A source at the North Jakarta Fire Department told The Jakarta
Post that six fire brigade units were deployed to extinguish the
fire, which started around 3:30 p.m. and lasted for an hour.
Losses have been estimated at Rp 40 million. (14)
