Fire guts warehouse

JAKARTA (JP): Fire razed a warehouse full of electronic products in the Industrial Estate of Pulogadung, East Jakarta, yesterday.

The 4,000-square meter warehouse caught fire at 1.00 a.m. and it took 12 hours for the fire brigade to subdue it. No casualties were reported.

The warehouse, owned by the local Sharp electronics agent PT Yasonta, housed TV sets and refrigerators, a fire fighter said.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

Smaller fires broke out in a house on Jl. Raya Bogor, also in East Jakarta, and a house in Rawa Belong, West Jakarta, while a third gutted a house in Sunter, North Jakarta. None of the smaller incidents claimed lives. (13)
