Fire guts upmarket mall

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Medan Plaza was gutted by fire at dawn on Monday.

The Medan Fire Department dispatched fire trucks to the scene to extinguish the fire. No fatalities were reported.

The fire gutted the mall when Medan residents were preparing to observe Idul Adha (Islamic Day of Sacrifice).

Police are looking into the cause of the fire. -- Antara
