Fire guts house in Bali village

SANUR, Bali: Fire gutted a villa on Jl. Kesari, Arya Desa village early on Monday causing Rp 250 million in losses.

Four fire trucks arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire at around 4:15 a.m.

No casualties were reported.

Police have begun an investigation as the fire was said to be somewhat unusual.

" A preliminary investigation points to an explosion as the cause of the fire which started in the villa's water heater unit," Denpasar Police chief Sr. Comr. DBM Suharya said.

"We're still checking for other possibilities," he added.(zen)
