Fire guts four houses in Cilincing

TANGERANG: Fire gutted four houses on Jl. Raya Cilincing, Kali Baru, North Jakarta on Wednesday morning, but no fatalities nor injuries were reported.

Mrs. Rudi, who owns one of the houses swamped by the fire, said that the fire allegedly sparked from a falling candle at Kumpul's house.

The area in the neighborhood had a blackout on Tuesday evening so that many residents used candles as lighting.

Those four houses belonged to Mrs. Rudi, Yudi, Triso and Kumpul.

North Jakarta Fire Brigade deployed four fire trucks to put out the fire. They managed to extinguish the fire an hour later. --JP.
