Fire guts book warehouse

JAKARTA (JP): Fire gutted a warehouse of PT. Gunung Agung, a
book and publishing company on Jl. Kwitang No. 37-38, Central
Jakarta, yesterday.

City Police Spokesman Lt. Col. Bambang Haryoko told reporters
that the fire started at 9:15 and was extinguished at 10:30 by
six fire engines.

Bambang said the company lost only Rp 6 million thanks to the
fire fighters' swift action in preventing the fire from burning
the whole building, Antara reported.

It was reported that a short circuit could have been the cause
of the fire. (mas/bsr)
