Fire guts 2 homes in Cengkareng

JAKARTA: Two houses were gutted by fire at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

A police report said the houses belonged to Suwarno, 60, and Fransiskus, 40, respectively. There was no casualties reported in the incident, while the material losses are still being calculated.

The West Jakarta Fire Department deployed 11 trucks to the scene and firefighters were able to put out the blaze at about midnight.

Cengkareng Police are investigating the fire but suspect it may have been caused by a short circuit. -- Antara
