Fire guts 18 houses

JAMBI, Jambi: Eighteen houses in Telanaipura district were
gutted by a fire which started late Wednesday, Antara reported
yesterday. No casualties were reported.

It took four fire engines to extinguish the fire, which was
suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
Jambi police chief Lt. Col. Suprapto, however, said police had
yet to determine the actual cause of the fire. (swe)
