Fire Engulfs House in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta; Cooling Process Underway

A house fire was reported on Jalan Taman Pirus, Sumur Batu, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, on Friday (19/6/2026) at 15.28 Western Indonesia Time. Firefighters from the Serdang post were dispatched for initial suppression at the scene. Currently, 18 fire engines and 48 personnel are battling the blaze and working to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings. The fire status has been downgraded to a cooling process as of 16.20 WIB. Fire crews are still spraying water onto the burnt materials at the scene to ensure the fire is completely extinguished. Officers are also dismantling materials at the fire site. The cause and chronology of the fire are not yet known. It is also not yet known whether there are any casualties from the incident.
