Fire engulfs diesel store

JAKARTA (JP): A store selling diesel fuel and paint in
Marunda, North Jakarta was gutted by fire Monday afternoon.

The fire was believed to have stemmed from a short circuit
which then set inflammable material such as tinder on fire, the
Antara news agency reported yesterday.

No casualties were reported.

The fire was contained to the building which is owned by
private firm, P.T. Delta Santa.

A fire fighter, Soeparman, said the fire was reported at 1:55
p.m. and 11 fire trucks were sent.

"Two hours later we managed to put out the fire," he said.
