Fire Engulfs Building in Cikini, Central Jakarta; 22 Fire Engines Deployed

A fire broke out at the Ruko Central building located on Jalan Cikini Raya, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon. The fire department received the report at approximately 2:45 p.m. Western Indonesia Time. A total of 22 fire engines and 105 personnel were deployed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. Firefighting operations commenced at 2:52 p.m., and the fire was successfully localised by 3:30 p.m., followed by a cooling-down process at 3:45 p.m. The current status of the fire is under control. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Information about the fire also circulated on social media, with videos showing flames on the exterior of the building and firefighters working to put them out.
