Fire Drill Held in SCBD: Artha Graha Tests Emergency Evacuation Procedures
PT Buanagraha Arthaprima, as the manager of the Artha Graha Building, held a fire drill or fire evacuation simulation in the SCBD business area, Jakarta. This activity was organised to enhance the preparedness of the management, emergency response teams, and all building occupants in facing emergency conditions.
The activity involved several supporting elements, including Artha Graha Peduli (AGP), the Artha Security Group (SGA), AGP Arthakes, the SCBD area SGA Fire Brigade, the Jakarta Provincial Government Fire and Rescue Department (Disgulkarmat), the Kebayoran Baru Fire and Rescue Task Force, the Kebayoran Baru Police Sector, the Kebayoran Baru Military Command (Koramil), the Senopati Police Post, and the Kebayoran Baru Sub-district administration.
The fire drill was conducted by simulating the evacuation process of building occupants during a fire emergency. During the simulation, occupants were instructed to remain calm, follow the directions of officers, avoid using lifts, and be led by their respective company Office Captains via emergency stairs to the assembly point near the Artha Graha Building bus stop.
Representing the Artha Graha Building Management, Veni Vanessa stated that the fire drill is part of the management’s commitment to ensuring all building occupants understand evacuation procedures.
“This fire drill is part of management’s commitment to ensuring all building occupants understand safety and evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency. Through regular training, we hope all parties can act in an orderly, rapid, and non-panicked manner when facing emergency situations,” Veni said in a written statement on Wednesday (23/09/2026).
The implementation of the simulation also served as a means to evaluate the readiness of the Artha Graha Building Emergency Response Team, including the coordination between building management, occupants, security officers, medical personnel, and fire brigade elements.
During the activity, evaluations were conducted to ensure that the implemented evacuation procedures could run in accordance with applicable fire safety standards.
In addition to increasing understanding of evacuation routes and assembly points, this activity also provided education to occupants regarding the importance of maintaining order during the evacuation process. Speed in responding to emergencies must be accompanied by compliance with procedures to ensure the rescue process can take place safely and in a coordinated manner.
“Safety is a shared responsibility. Therefore, we invite all occupants and tenants to continue understanding evacuation procedures, recognising exit routes and assembly points, and following the directions of officers if an emergency occurs,” she concluded.
This fire drill is also part of the ongoing efforts of the Artha Grahea Building management to build a safety culture and increase preparedness for various emergency conditions, particularly fire risks, within the building environment.
