Fire destroys house, kills two children

JAKARTA (JP): Two children were killed when fire destroyed their parent's house on Jl. Enim, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, early on Friday morning.

Tasritin 8, and his brother Saturoh 15, were sleeping when fire engulfed the building after midnight. The parents were not in the house when the incident took place.

The fire was extinguished within an hour by seven fire engine units.

People realized that Tastitin and Saturoh had been trapped in the fire after finding their chared remains among the debris.

He also added that the victim's uncle came to claim the bodies at about 2:45 p.m.
