Fire Breaks Out in Gandamekar, Bekasi as Fire Department Responds

Fire breaks out in Gandamekar, Cikarang Barat District, Bekasi Regency. Bekasi Regency Fire Department (Damkar) officers have been deployed to the scene to extinguish the flames.

Social media videos show the fire growing within a residential area, with thick black smoke rising high.

“Yes, still fighting the fire,” said Said, a Damkar Bekasi Regency call centre officer, on Sunday (31 May 2025).

According to Said, the warehouse is located near residential housing. Officers are still working to put out the blaze.

“Near residential areas,” he said.

“Six units deployed,” he added.

The cause of the fire and any casualties remain unknown.
