Fire breaks out at Kemiri market

DEPOK: Fire raged through almost 600 kiosks at Kemiri market
in Depok late on Wednesday, Tempointeraktif.com reported.

The kiosks, which occupied three blocks of the market, mostly
belonged to vendors selling groceries. Several others sold
clothes.

The fire reportedly started at 10:25 p.m.. Depok Fire
Department chief Dindin Djunaedi said it took until 4 a.m.
Thursday to put out the blaze.

There were no reported fatalities. The fire department is
investigating the cause of the fire. -- JP
