Fire Breaks Out at Karawang Land Office

A fire broke out at the Karawang office of the National Land Agency (BPN). The flames were still alight at the time of reporting.

“Yes, that’s right [the Karawang BPN office is on fire],” a Karawang Regency fire service call-centre officer said when contacted on Thursday (15 October 2026.

The fire was reported at 10.54pm on Wednesday (14 October 2026). It had not yet been extinguished.

“It was around 10.54pm. It is still being dealt with,” the officer said.

The cause of the fire was not yet known, and there was no information on whether anyone had been killed.

Videos circulating on social media showed the front section of the Karawang BPN office engulfed in flames. Residents gathered to photograph and film the incident.
