Fire at Rusun Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi in West Jakarta, Firefighters Move In

A fire was reported at Rusun Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi in Cengkareng, West Jakarta, this morning. Firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. ‘The object on fire is Rusun Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi,’ said Suheri, head of the West Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service’s Sub-Department, when contacted on Sunday, 8 March 2026. The fire was first reported at 08:30 WIB. Seven fire engines and 35 personnel were deployed to carry out the firefighting. The exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage have not yet been determined. The firefighting operation is ongoing. ‘The fire situation is under control, with firefighting and search for the ignition point ongoing,’ he added.
