Fire at Poins Square Leaves One Injured

A fire broke out at a cafe in Poins Square, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, on Monday 25 May 2026, injuring one person.

According to the Command Center of the Jakarta Special Capital Region Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), the blaze occurred at the AfterHour Coffee Shop on the second floor. The incident was reported at 7:17 PM WIB.

“The report was received at 7:17 PM WIB from a public telephone alert,” the Command Center stated.

Gulkarmat deployed 14 fire engines and 54 personnel to the scene. The team arrived at 7:20 PM WIB and began extinguishing the fire at 7:23 PM WIB.

The fire was contained by 7:32 PM WIB, with cooling operations commencing at 7:35 PM WIB.

“Operations concluded at 7:57 PM WIB,” the Command Center added.

The fire is suspected to have originated from a gas leak, resulting in one employee sustaining burn injuries.
