Fire at Cibubur Shopping Mall Extinguished

Ciputra Mall in the Cibubur area of Bekasi experienced a fire on Tuesday afternoon. Two fire engine units were deployed to the location.

“Two units [of fire engines],” said Rusmanto, Commander of Fire Brigade Unit A for Bekasi, when contacted on Tuesday (17/2/2026).

Rusmanto did not yet explain the chronology of the fire. He confirmed that the blaze had been extinguished.

“It’s been put out,” he said.

Contacted separately, the Bekasi City Fire Brigade call centre said officers were still at the scene. “Still in the cooling phase,” a spokesperson said.
